Season Two Of HAZEL Is Coming To DVD This MONTH!

Now that February is finally here, we now have the excitement of seeing Season 2 of Hazel on DVD. Mark your calendars, the Shout! Factory release will be in stores on February 21, 2012!!!!

Three anniversaries that stand out this month regarding Shirley Booth....

February 1951 - The rehearsals began for A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Shirley's second of five musicals performed on Broadway. The dairy farm in Newtown, PA was sold several weeks before the death of Shirley's second husband Bill Baker, Jr. in March of 1951.

February 1959 - The first publication of the photograph depicting Shirley in water up to her neck taken for a news story of her on vacation at Round Hill Hotel and Villas Resort, Jamaica (West Indies). Shirley sued the publisher of the magazine Holiday, namely Curtis Publishing Company, and their advertising agency, Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn, for invasion of privacy. February 1961 - Hazel television pilot film made.

In episode #95 ("Arrivederci, Mr.B") Hazel says, "That's the trouble you know, everybody is always waiting for somebody to speak their language. The thing is they ought to grow up and learn to speak the other fellow's language. That makes sense, don't it?"
